Applying to join Weybridge Rifle & Pistol Club
You are encouraged to visit the club, a Monday night or Saturday afternoon are best.
Our Club Chairman, is normally around on a Monday night (7pm to 9pm).
Or our Club Secretary, is available most Saturdays (1pm to 2pm).
We have a constant 6 month to 12 month waiting list.
To be added to the list, you must apply for probationary membership (there is £15 fee for Police background checks).
Please note: Make sure make sure to read the notes when completing the application form and drop off to the club in person.
Our Membership Secretary will organise police checks and request references from your referees. (We have found it is useful to tell your referees that you are applying for membership as their response is key for our process)
Once references are returned (assuming there is nothing untoward) you will be invited to attend the club run Safe Handling Course for firearms.
You will be asked to pay the current probation fees, this covers the probationary period (up to 6 months - fees are subject to change in April).
The Safe Handling course is run on a Saturday morning (10:30 to 12:30) and is normally 3 weeks long.
Once complete, you will need to attend the club 12 times over 3 to 6 months to be considered for full membership.
These sessions need to be supervised but will typically be when the club is open rather than a Saturday Morning.
Competent probationary members and FAC holders may be fast tracked at the committees discretion to full membership.
You don’t need a firearms license to join, we have everything needed.
The application form is available at the bottom of this page.
