Outside our club
We have ample parking for members and visitors.
The car park is made from compacted hardcore.
(No muddy fields to park in)
Clubroom
We have a comfortable club room
with ample seating and room to socialise.
We also use the club room to run courses, this is to ensure all members reach a standard for safety and competency when using a firearm.
Gun Room
This area is used as a safe environment to prepare guns before going on range. The area can also be used for repairing and cleaning guns
Inside Range
We have 6 bays inside.
The range is qualified for 0.22 rimfire rifles, long barrelled pistols, and Pistol calibre rifles.
Each bay allows distances of 20 yard and 25 yard to be shot. Turning targets are available at 20 yards.
Inside Range
We have installed powerful ventilation. This produces 12 air changes an hour. All dirty air, smoke and particles are drawn down range and away from the shooting point.
Bays can be adapted to allow standing, kneeling and bench rest. Only one bay allows prone. 10m air gun shooting is possible using specially adapted target holders at 10m.
The Linatex Rubber Splashback curtain was replaced February 2021
25m Outside Range
Completed in the Summer '23.
This NDA range has been built to current JSP403 Range safety standards and replaces the old range that wasn't up to standard.
The Range is primarily for 0.22 Rimfire, Pistol calibre gallery rifles and muzzle loaders. This range is certified for any non HME calibre (but you must have prior Duty Officer approval to shoot).
It gives our members flexibility to use their Non-HME firearms without the need of going to Bisley.
100 Yard Outside Range
The 100 yards shooting point is covered (and airy!... Bring thermals in the winter!!!).
We can shoot all distances from 15m to 100 yards on the outside range. The Range is certified for 0.22 Rimfire, Pistol calibre gallery rifles and black powder muzzle loaders. Note: Gallery rifles shot at 100 yards must be shot while prone or bench resting.
