Club Facilities

image388

Outside our club

We have ample parking for members and visitors.

The car park is made from compacted hardcore.

(No muddy fields to park in)

Clubroom

We have a comfortable club room

with ample seating and room to socialise.

We also use the club room to run courses, this is to ensure all members reach a standard for safety and competency when using a firearm.

Gun Room

There is a separate area to prepare your gun before going on range. (Note: we will be upgrading the facility but have been hampered with the pandemic)

Range

We have 6 bays inside.

Current setup shows the Social distance measures that were in place when we could shoot inside.

The range is qualified for 0.22 rimfire rifles and long barrelled pistols, Pistol calibre rifles and LBP's but we don't allow magnum or jacketed rounds. Black Powder pistol shooting is also available to those with their own guns.

Shooting Bay

Each bay allows distances of 20 yard and 25 yard to be shot.

Turning targets are available at 20 yards.

We have installed powerful ventilation. This produces 12 air changes an hour. All dirty air, smoke and particles are drawn down range and away from the shooting point.

Bays can be adapted to allow standing, kneeling and bench rest. Only one bay allows prone. 10m air gun shooting is possible using specially adapted target holders at 10m.

Outside Range

We can shoot all distances from 15m to 100 yards on the outside range.

The club runs various activities, from a steel plate challenge (15m) to see who is the fastest shot to bench rest shooting at 100 yards, this is slow methodical shooting.

Anything shot inside can also be shot outside.

The caveat being pistol calibre rifles at 100 yards can only be shot while prone or bench resting.

Outside Range

The 100 yards shooting point is covered (and airy!... Bring thermals in the winter!!!).
