Welcome to the Weybridge Rifle and Pistol Club Website, we hope you find it of interest.
Our club is a target shooting club.
Weybridge Rifle & Pistol Club was established 1901 and is one of the oldest in the country.
Despite the club’s age we are not old fashioned.
Safety is a priority. We have set procedures in place to make sure everyone’s safety is maintained.
Our members come from all walks of life, target shooting isn’t the preserve of the rich.
Whether you are new to shooting or an experienced shot we have something to offer you.
The club is equipped with a 100 yard outdoor range with six covered firing points, this is used for prone and benchrest target shooting with .22 calibre rifles. We can also shoot Black Powder Pistols and Pistol Calibre Gallery Rifles at 50 metres or closer.
There is a 25 yard Outside Airgun Range that can be used for field target practice or paper targets.
The indoor range has six firing points which can accommodate both prone, standing and benchrest disciplines up to 25 yards. The types of firearms permitted on the indoor range include rimfire and pistol calibre rifles, carbines, long barrelled revolvers and black powder pistols. The posted range rules restrict the use of magnum and jacketed rounds.
We have a very active fullbore section which regularly arranges trips to Bisley to practice long range target shooting.
We have many members who shoot for fun, but we are also setup for competitions.
Our internal club competitions are great fun.
We have a Friday night rapid fire turning target competition run once a month.
There's a steel plate speed shoot, run once a month in the summer.
We also shoot against other clubs via postal competitions like the Hendon League, which caters for Gallery Rifle, Sporting Rifle and Long Barrelled Pistols.
Surrey and Middlesex Small Bore competitions are setup for precision .22 Rifle and Air Gun competitors.
We enter the National Civilian Service Rifle and Practical competitions which are run at other shooting grounds.
We occasionally shoot abroad, recently winning a machine gun competition organised by the Polish Army - beating them with their own guns!
